In the dark, windows can look clean; but the moment the sun shines on them it reveals the sticky finger marks, smudges and even nose prints! To keep your windows clean and sparkling, we have provided a few tips to keep on top of it:
1. If dirt gets on the window, avoid rubbing it; you risk scratching the delicate glass. A good option is to use a small handheld vacuum cleaner.
2. Avoid cleaning your windows when there is sun shining on it, as the water will dry too fast and you risk leaving streak marks. 3. A hose with pressure should be enough to remove most grease and grime on outside windows. Ensure the water is clean. 4. Wash the outside of the windows first; it is easier to do and this ensures that when you do the bigger job of cleaning the inside windows that you will know which makes are truly on the inside of the window. 5. When you wash the inside of your windows, do it in side to side and up to down. If there are any streaks you will know which side it is on. 6. Micro-fibre cloths are a good option for cleaning windows. Be sure to read the instructions for how to use them on the packaging. When you clean the micro-fibre cloths themselves do not use fabric softener as this reduces their absorbency rate.
